The Adventures of Philamina

‘Twas the night before December 1 and all through the salon
Not a salon owner was stirring, for everyone was gone.
The bottles were sitting on the shelf with care,
In hopes that a stylist would be there.

When day had arrived, there arose such a clatter
Libby ran from the chair to see what was the matter.
The cat dragged in a friend to share in the monthly cheer,
and until the break of Christmas day, Philamina was here.

Her eyes-how they twinkled! Her dimples, how merry!
Cheeks like roses, Nose like a cherry!
She likes to hide in the decorations hanging about,
and for Libby, Philamina was really creeping her out.

She spoke not a word, but went straight to work,
And climbed onto the counter, the little jerk.
A wink of her eye and a twist of her head,
Philamina took over the calendar and wrote plans to be read.

And then, in a crash, Libby heard upon the roof.
Some tripping and slipping of a right old goof
Then tumbling through the ceiling and falling onto the shelf
Bumble landed and Philamina attacked, in spite of herself.

She was thin and lanky, a mischievous young elf,
And Libby was concerned, in spite of herself!
Libby saw her, hoping she would not fall,
For Philamina came in like a wreaking ball.

Stay Tuned for more mischief….
